The oxidized copper, burnt umber, and dark metallic tones in the upper/left regions evoke the walls of century-old foundries, the rusting hulls of shipyards, and Anatolia's ancient iron workshops. The heavy impasto and metallic reliefs on the surface create the sensation of touching a real industrial surface. The intense cadmium red in the lower/right regions is pure energy.
